Ballooning

The best way to truly appreciate Bagan’s size and sprawl is from the basket of a hot-air balloon belonging to Balloons over Bagan.

Best Temple

Sulamani temple is a beautiful impressive temple with some well preserved wall painting. It is great to stroll around and take in the atmosphere. Just to the south of the temple there is a little lake, a nice place to sit around and spot some Bagan birdlife. Just be aware that you are in snake territory.

Myinkaba

Lacquerware lovers will want to stop at Bagan’s most famous shopping zone as the otherwise sleepy village, about half a mile south of Old Bagan, which has been home to family-run lacuerware workshops for generations.
